HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE ORANGE DAY CAMP
use the link below to register and pay online on the GSOC Double-knit site..   http://girlscoutsoc.doubleknot.com/event/2022-orange-day-camp/2890001

VOLUNTEERS:
Our day camp is organized and staffed completely by volunteers. Register to be a Day Camp volunteer when you register your camper or Staff Aide!  Grandparents, aunts, uncles, family friends are all welcome!   Don’t wait – sign up NOW!  It is going to be a fun week.
  • Full-time adult volunteers receive a reimbursement for 1 camper (or Staff Aides)!  To receive this credit you must be flexible and willing to be placed where needed at camp, even if this is not with your troop or camper. Full-time = 5 full days at camp.  You will receive a refund after day camp once your obligation to work day camp has been completed.
  • ALL Adult Volunteer Staff (over 18) must be or become a registered Girl Scout Responsible Adult Volunteer(a registered adult with Girl Scouts and background screened).  If you are not currently a GS Responsible Adult you will need to register.
  • All Staff must be trained!  First time Orange Girl Scout Day Camp adult volunteers and Staff Aides must attend one of our day camp training sessions (dates TBA).
  • T-shirts are included in the fees listed above for all campers, Staff Aides, Pixies and boys; adult Volunteers receive one at no charge.  Additional t-shirts may be purchased for $10 each.
  • Pixie and Boy units are for our volunteer staff’s children ONLY and only on the days they volunteer to work at camp.

Troop leaders - Please use the Troop day camp placement form to help us insure the girls in your troop are placed together.

PLEASE NOTE: Day camp is an individual camper program, but troops are welcome and will be placed together when possible. Troops that want to be placed together MUST provide volunteers to meet our ratio of 1 full-time adult for every 8 campers (or part-time volunteers to meet full-time equivalent requirements); this ratio includes Pixies & boys you sign up. Campers should always indicate a ‘buddy’ on the registration form in case we cannot place your troop together. Troop leaders/parents will be notified ASAP if there are not enough volunteers to form units and place your camper(s). In this case, your fees will be refunded. Refund policy for those who drop is on our website. Complete information for the week of camp will be sent out via mail in mid-June and posted on our website www.OrangeDayCamp.org.
